Ability to use Computer Aided Drafting (CAD) equipment to provide support to Engineers by transforming initial rough product designs into working documents. Prepare routine layouts, detail/assembly drawings, original hand sketched designs, diagrams, copies, maps, edit existing as-built drawings and maintains information regarding changes to database. Produce graphs, charts, overlays, isometric and perspective drawings. Insert blocks, schedules, bill of material (BOM) and details from specification sheets or directly from within the AutoCAD platforms. Basic knowledge of design and drafting methods such as orthographic projections, dimensioning and tolerances. Convert/resizing design dimensions for specified production processes by using charts and calculations. Complies with engineering staff to determine design modifications as well as entering edited drawings information into computer system. Knowledgeable in maintaining exiting Microstation database using AutoCAD software.

 

Prepares construction budget by studying plans, updating specifications, identifying and projecting costs for various projects. Obtains bids from vendors and subcontractors by specifying materials, identifying qualified subcontractors and negotiating price.

Perform inspections of subassemblies or finished company products according to well defined criteria using standard physical, mechanical and/or electrical measurements.
